About Beyond Pets Animal Hospital
Our story begins with Dr. Michael Good, who founded Town and Country Veterinary Clinic in 1980 with a mission to offer excellent veterinary services, educate the public, and save as many animals as possible through his rescue organization, Homeless Pets Foundation. Dr. Good’s dedication to animal care left an indelible mark on the Marietta community.
Following in his father’s footsteps at a young age, Dr. Phil Good spent his summers and post-school afternoons working at Town and Country Vet Clinic. After Dr. Michael Good passed away in May 2021, Dr. Phil Good stepped in to continue his father’s legacy. With a vision to modernize and build upon his father’s dream, Dr. Phil Good rebranded the practice as Beyond Pets Animal Hospital.
Today, Dr. Phil Good works alongside his wife, Ashley Good, the Director of the Homeless Pets Foundation. Together, they empower and educate people on the importance of animal care, collaborate with local shelters to reduce euthanasia, and strive to impact the Marietta community positively.
At Beyond Pets Animal Hospital, we are dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care for your pets while continuing the legacy of excellence and community service established by Dr. Michael Good. We look forward to serving you and your pets with the highest standards of veterinary care.
Meet Our Founder
Michael Paul Good, our beloved founder, passed away from a heart attack on May 29th, 2021.
For over 40 years, Michael Good was a fearless advocate for animal rescue – using numerous resources and large volumes of his time to promote, pursue, and create the change needed to save thousands of animals’ lives that would otherwise be euthanized.
Through the two organizations’ work, thousands of animals have been adopted, and many saved from euthanasia.
